The Montgomery County Family YMCA has received notification that the YMCA will receive a $2,000 grant that the YMCA applied for in late March 2008 from the Red Oak Heritage Foundation.  These funds will assist the YMCA in areas of computer software update along with several YMCA aquatic safety needs: youth and adult life jackets, CPR rescue aids to help staff in performing CPR in time of a health related emergency, bag values for CPR for youth, infants, and adults, along with silhouette dolls used for life guarding training to see how quickly the response time is in locating a doll at the bottom of the swimming pool.

Nick Zimmer, YMCA Executive Director, expressed his deepest appreciation to the Red Oak Heritage Foundation for having such a grant application process available to not-for-profit organizations that simply try to give residents of all ages positive experiences in life.
