          YMCA Mission Impact
The Montgomery County Family YMCA responds to community need by
Serving all incomes, ages and abilities
We served more than 2,600 people in diverse communities within the Montgomery County area.
We bring together young and old, men and women, people of all faiths, backgrounds and
incomes.  No one is tuned away to pay.  Scholarships, subsidies and outreach provide critical
access to low-income families.
We provided $19,000 in financial assistance and subsidies for children youth and families.
this represents 3.2% of total expenses.

Serving vulnerable populations in our community
Children:  Our YMCA serves 2,652 members—36% of those members are children and youth.  The YMCA provides a wide range of activities to foster healthy, productive children including teen clubs, sports leagues, family nights, community service projects and gang prevention programs.  All youth activities incorporate the YMCA Core Values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
Low Income Families:  We are one of the largest providers of affordable child care in the Montgomery County community.  We offer high-quality child care to working families regardless of ability to pay.
Elderly:  One of the fastest growing segments of our membership are members over 60 years of age.  We provide land and water exercise classes, partnerships with Montgomery County Memorial Hospital with rehabilitation program, indoor walking, fitness center and health wellness staff member that can assist your fitness needs, social programs like Soup Fest luncheons.
Disables/Other:  Our YMCA recognized the local need for targeted programs for the following vulnerable populations:  immigrants, special needs, veterans, and other underserved.  Therefore, we are proud to work closely with Nishna Production Group home, Special Olympic programs, and the Latino center.
Nonmembers:  Over the last year, we provided free health fairs/ screenings, exercise and nutrition activities for members and nonmembers all of which was valued at $500 in benefit to the community.
Other Nonprofit Orgs:  We also provided $2,150 worth of space at little to no charge for outside clubs, nonprofits, and community service organizations to help them face broader community problems.

Mobilizing community resources to meet community needs
Locally Driven:  Our YMCA is created by the local community based on a regional needs assessment and is controlled by a local board of community volunteers.
Contributed Income:  Our YMCA receives $36,000 in support from annual community contributions which represents 6.1% or our total revenue.
Volunteer Hours:  This year, our YMCA has mobilized 200 volunteers to serve the community.  These volunteers contributed $2,000 worth of time to give back.
Key Partnerships:  Recognizing the importance of collaborations, our YMCA created key partnerships with the following organizations Montgomery County Memorial Hospital, Red Oak Community Schools, County/ Area Schools, City of Red Oak, Montgomery County, Red Oak Industrial Foundation, Red Oak Chamber of Commerce, Stanton Chamber of Commerce, area business and organizations.
Relieving the Burden of Government:  Our YMCA received $4,624 in Government Funding, including grants, contracts and vouchers to provide front-line service that relieved the burden for government to provide many of these services.

Promoting healthy lifestyles to prevent obesity
Health Crisis/ Childhood Obesity:  Our YMCA has a longstanding dedication to providing programs and services that build health of spirit, mind and body for all.  We continue this commitment today by engaging and supporting children and all health seekers – individuals of all ages who wish to pursue a healthy lifestyle, but struggle to do so.
* Note the YMCA employees 5 full  time staff & over 50 part time staff member with an annual payroll of $300,000 back into the community/ area.
